Hike & Dine: Experience the Styrian Vineyards

Before two inspiring days of biotech innovation begin, take a deep breath of fresh country air and join us for our traditional pre-event in Southern Styria.
We’ll set off on a relaxed one-hour hike (approx. 3 km, 100 meters of elevation gain) through the rolling hills and vineyards surrounding Weingut Lazarus, one of the region’s most beloved family-owned estates. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Styrian wine country – so don’t forget your camera. Sturdy footwear, ideally hiking shoes, is a must.
After the walk, we’ll gather at Buschenschank Lazarus for an authentic Styrian evening: regional wines straight from the estate, a hearty Brettljause (traditional cold platter), and the warm atmosphere of a rustic wine tavern.
Meeting Point for the departure by bus: Burgring, between Halle für Kunst and Einspinnergasse.
