About

EVOMEDIS is a pre-clinical stage R&D biotech company founded 2020 in Graz, Austria that aims to revolutionize wound care by developing the first off-the-shelf, freeze-dried, living healing system, using human allogenic keratinocytes for the treatment of both acute and chronic wounds as well as repair of other epithelial lesions. Building on years of R&D (since 2015 > €5.0M invested), the Company has developed a patented technology platform with the lead project EVOCellic, a bioactive cell depot (BCD), which after application creates a “healing enclave” on the wounds. This first-in-class, freeze-dried and easy to store formulation (+4°C > 12 months) will be developed creating a cost-efficient, scalable, and globally accessible therapy that accelerates healing, reduces complications, and shifts the paradigm from wound management to wound healing especially saving lives of children, elderly people and trauma patients. EVOCellic addresses approximately 11 million hospitalized burn patients and 50 million chronic wound patients worldwide within the advanced wound care market projected at $16 billion in 2025. The BCD platform further expands into acute lung injury and fibrosis ($4.5 billion market, EVOLung), corneal lesions ($0.9 billion market, EVOEye), and hair loss ($7.9 billion market, EVOHair).

EVOMEDIS is raising investments for a Series A round to complete two Phase I/II trials in burn and diabetic foot ulcer patients, with data expected in 2029. These data and solid pre-clinical data packages for the other BCD development candidates will open multiple revenue streams: direct sales to hospitals & burn centers, strategic licensing deals and milestone-based payments.
